    Meet Our Trainers

Pam Roush - Owner & Trainer

Pam Roush has successfully trained blue ribbon horses, riders and drivers for over 25 years. She has shown all over the country and has earned several nods for her success in and out of the ring. She started out as a young rider in equitation and became a popular catch rider for many different horses and divisions due to her expertise in the sport. She has competed in classes ranging from 3-Gaited, 5-Gaited, Park, Pleasure, and Equitation. Pam has also achieved great success showing road horses under saddle and to bike, as well as road ponies. She has trained several Best of Breed horses, an honor given by Saddle and Bridle magazine. These horses include CH My Heart, Top Star Willie, and Galahad’s Gold Mine. All of these horses have also been named Horse of the Year by the UPHA Chapter 16. Additional horses with award winning records include Rumblestrip and Telemark’s Choice who are USEF blue ribbon winners for the Southeast region. All of these horses still remain under Pam’s remarkable tutelage. One of Pam’s favorite horses and greatest accomplishments was training the phenomenal road horse, The African Queen. In 2006, The African Queen was crowned the World’s Champion Youth Road Horse to Bike.  In 2016, Pam added another World Champion to her credit when her home bred colt My Pot of Gold became the Amateur Yearling Futurity World Champion at the Kentucky State Fair.

Her many horse’s accomplishments truly compliment her own. She has received acclaims including Sportsman of the Year Award - Tampa Charity Horse Show, Trainer of the Year, and in 2020 she won the UPHA Shirley Parkinson Lifetime Achievement Award.  She has held the position of President for the United Professional Horseman’s Association Florida Chapter 16, a nationally accredited agency, for 4 years.  In the 2017, Pam was chosen as a coach for the Saddleseat World Cup Team and traveled with them to South Africa, where they were winners of one gold and one silver medal.  She remains dedicated to the mission of the World Cup and is involved in their events each year either as a coach or by managing the preparation of the many donated horses used during the events.  Aside from training, Pam is also a judge in her area and is Chairperson and creator of the Summer Fun Horse Show in Tampa, Florida every June. In 2022, Pam won the Lillian Shively Equitation Award and the UPHA Chapter 16 Chair Person of the Year Award.
